Families with children have our full support
For families we offer Oca Prime and Oca Signature at a reduced price. Meals are included in both packages – which makes travelling with kids easier.
Children must be accompanied by their parents (father, mother or two guardians). The adults pay the normal price, the children pay a reduced price:
- Up to 7 years – 80 % discount per child
- 8 to 15 years – 50 % discount per child

With Oca Valhalla, they created a place where visitors from around the world can do more than see the Amazon – they can truly experience it.
Depending on daily schedules and ongoing projects, you may have an opportunity to meet Umussy and Christian personally. Trusted people from the region also support each stay.
Umussy and Christian speak German, English, Portuguese and Tukano.
The time of day, the well-being of the visitors and the weather decide how the introduction to Oca Valhalla, the acclimatisation and the first night unfold. At Oca Valhalla you will already develop a first sense of the rainforest, which comes through especially at night.

The Rio Negro, nature and the people of the region shape every stay. Which activities are possible depends on the season, water level and individual travel planning.
The scale of the river and changing water levels shape the landscape, routes and daily life.
Personal encounters and cultural insights may form part of selected activities and are arranged respectfully on site.
Palms, garden, forest and views of the water naturally belong together here.
Availability, duration and operation are arranged individually and depend on local conditions.

The Oca
Tradition meets comfort.
Oca Valhalla itself is the spacious, open area with its characteristic blue floor. It serves as a shared sleeping and living space and, in future, as a retreat area. A booking is always exclusive: the oca is given to one person or one closed group at a time and is never shared with strangers. Within your own group, however, you share the open sleeping area – there are no separate rooms for individuals or couples. If six of you travel together, all six sleep in this one space. A separate open kitchen, modern sanitary facilities and generous outdoor space complete the accommodation.
Electricity is available 24/7 from a battery storage system that bridges an average of 30 hours if the public grid goes down. The supply is 230 volts at 60 Hz and the sockets follow the Brazilian standard (type N).
WiFi is available to our guests free of charge and without restrictions.

Umussy's connection to the region and its culture meets Christian's journey from Germany to the Amazon. Oca Valhalla grew from their shared story, hands-on work and the wish to offer guests an honest connection to the Rio Negro.

Oca Valhalla lies west of Manaus and is reached by water. With the Oca Prime package, pickup at the airport or at Marina do Davi and the return trip there are included. For Oca Signature and Oca Experience, boat and airport transfers are not included; on request they can be organised for an additional fee and agreed personally before your stay.
